Jacobus (Jac) Haring

(The Netherlands, 30.03.1913 - 25.2.1989).

He was born in Hoorn, senior civil servant and composed about 1500 problems.

He was Grandmaster of the FIDE for chess composition since 1990.

He was International Master of the FIDE for chess composition since 1968.

He was International Judge of the FIDE for chess compositions since 1964.

 

He is the inventor of Haring theme (switchback of the thematic white pieces on the mating move, in try and real play).

Before he started composing problems he created some studies.
