He was associated with the grotesque style and with domination studies.

Tigran Gorgiev wrote a collection of  his studies "Избранные этюды" (Izbrannye Etyudy, 1959).

 

He was International Master of the FIDE for chess composition since 1969.

He was International Judge of the FIDE for chess compositions since 1956.
