Selection of studies of more than 200 composed by

Thomas Rayner Dawson

(England, 20.11.1889 - 16.12.1951)

He was also called the "King of exochess" (Fairy King) was the best chess composer of exoproblems of all time.

He completed more than 6000 tasks (over 5000 of them exo) and invented a number of new exostones and exoconditions,

many of which have caught on and are used as common stones today, notably cricket (grasshopper, 1912) and daddy (nightrider, 1925).

He wrote a number of books and was a long-time editor of the magazine "Fairy Chess Review" (1930-1951).

TRD has always had my endless admiration, a person with such creative potential is born once in a century.
