Selection of studies composed by

Hermann Neustadtl (Czechoslovakia, 2.4.1862-9.9.1909).

He was born in Prague and as a medical student he learned to play chess.

In his youth he played some magisterial tournaments in Germany.

He also dedicated himself to the study of openings and above all to the composition where I create small works of art of great fineness, especially in the end of single pawns.

Most of his unpublished studies appeared in the English publication "Chess Monthly".

Also the Sonnenborger-Berger score is also called Neustadtl score.
