Selection of studies composed by

Alexey Nikolayevich Studenetsky

(Azerbaijan / Russia, 17.6.1912-1988)

Strong chess player and composer born in Azerbaijan, Chernigovsk, who settled in Cheboksari and work as a journalist.
From 1928, when he began his activity, he composed about a hundred works, between problems and Studies, several of which were awarded or distinguished.
He was also interested in the theoretical aspects of the game in the finals, particularly of pawns, having published many of his conclusions.
As a student, Studenetski specializes in creating work with smaller pieces, with or without pawns,
whose linear solution requires no variants and almost always contains a brilliant tactical play.
