Psychiatrist, professor, director of the sanatorium of the mentally ill in Zaragoza, his native city, translator of Sigmund Freud, lecturer and other activities related to his profession.

His most transcendent chess activity has to do with his collaborations in specialized magazines, his treatises on the game his works on the theory of the endgame.

As a composer he became interested in the artistic endings.
