From Vladimir Samilo we have the following information:

He lives in Donetsk since 1987, mathematician, PhD in Chemistry, teacher of classical guitar.
He is an endgame study composer and he is Fide Master of the FIDE for chess composition since 2012.
Since 1989 he has published about 80 studies.
He is the champion of Ukraine on endgame study in 2007-2009 and 2010-2012,

repeated prize-winner of the championships of Ukraine in the team of Donetsk region.
He mainly composes studies of strategic direction with deep complex content.
He is the author of more than 20 articles on the theory of composition, many of which contain descriptions of new themes
(in English: “Studies and Psychology of Struggle”, EBUR, 2003, “The Change Theme in a Study” EG181, 2010).
In preparation for the World Chess Championship 2001-2002 he worked with Ruslan Ponomarev on authoring system Edeiling.
For many years he has been collaborating with Garry Kasparov on the programs “Chess in School” and “Chess Modeling”.
Since 2010 he is the editor of the section of the original studies of the magazine "Problemist of Ukraine".
