He is born on December 10, 1969 in the city of Zaporozhye (Ukraine). He now lives in the city of Dnipro (Dnepropetrovsk) since 1984. His profession is economist, specialty "management of organizations".

He worked as an inspector-controller for the railway and now he works as an administrator in the city chess-drafts club.

At the age of 13 he fulfilled the norm of the 1st rank on practical chess game, and at the same time he became interested in chess composition.

His first problem was published in the newspaper "Zaporizka Pravda" in 1983.

He composes in different genres.

He was Bronze-winner of the championship of Ukraine in studies (2010-2012).

As part of the Dnepropetrovsk team, he is a six-time Ukrainian champion in composing, and twice in solving.

In 2004, his book of selected problems and studies "How I became a chess composer" was published.

He calls his teachers: Leonid Lyubashevsky, Valentin Rudenko, Valery and Alexander Semenenko.
