Vlasenko Valery, was born on October 21, 1939 in the village of Cheremushnaya, Kharkiv region;

currently lives in the township of Slobozhansky, Kharkiv region.

In 1966 he graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Department of Kharkiv state University. By specialty - physicist.

Master of sports USSR in Chess Composition (1970).

The first problem (three-mover) was published in 1957, the first study - in 1966.

In total, about 30 problems and more then 180 studies were compiled.

More than 35 compositions were awarded with prize differences, of which 10 first prizes.

In the championships of the USSR 1st place in section more-movers (1969) and also twice 4th place in studies (1976 and 1987).

Champion of Ukraine in chess composition (1983-1984, studies), winner and priz-winner of the team championships of Ukraine.

More than 35 compositions were awarded with prize differences, of which 10 first prizes.

Participant 1- 4 WCCI (9 place 1998-2000, 8 place in 2007-2009). In FIDE Albums has 11.83 points.

The author of more than 15 articles on chess composition. Permanent author of the magazine "Problemist of Ukraine".

Creative credo: studies should be without duals (including lengthenings, at strong promotion, etc), and with the utmost economy of material.

The content of study should be bright, deep and convex, and not "extended " in one line.
