Composer of Prague that stood out in the studies from 1930,
Prof. Louma was the author of about 60 works.

He was the FIDE vice-president from 1951-1954.

Josef Louma was a chess player of master strength, arbiter and organizer

and also the Secretary of the Czechoslovakian Chess Federation in the 1930s.
