Composer and author born in Prague (at that time belonging to the Austro-Hungarian Empire) who lived in England and
then settled in the United States of America, where he was Professor Emeritus of Philosophy of the University of San Francisco.
His chessmanship is manifold. Dr. Korn was in charge of the eleventh edition of the once successful book of openings "Modern Chess Openings";
Wrote the information on chess for the "Encyclopedia Britannica" and above all is the author of "American Art" (New York, 1975) excellent collection of studies of American authors.
He was International Judge of the FIDE for chess compositions since 1964.
