Short Biography:
School years.
Alexander Artemovich Manvelyan was born on June 4, 1946 in the city of Kirovabad, Azerbaijan SSR.
He studied at the Armenian secondary school No. 13 in Kirovabad.
He studied perfectly. At school he got acquainted with chess, participating in various competitions, and after graduation received the title of candidate for a master in practical games.
Youth.
After graduation, he moved to Armenia, in Yerevan, where he worked as a trolleybus driver for a long time in the tram and trolleybus office in Yerevan.
In Yerevan, he got acquainted with chess composers and gradually joined the ranks of compilers of chess tasks and sketches.
Composing. For thirty years, Alexander took part in various international competitions (mostly sketches) and received many differences.
Several years ago he was awarded the title of FIDE master in chess composition.
The peak of his work is from 1998 to 2000.
It was then that he participated in the 1st Personal World Championship (WCCI), where he took the 5th place
after D.Gurgenidze, N.Kralin, A.Visokosov and O.Pervakova (at the IInd Championship in 2001-2004 in the section Studies he divided the 19th - 20th place).
With Studies, he participated in the 6th WCCT (World Team Championship) and took the 7th place and brought 18 points to the national team of Armenia.
At the last 9th WCCT, his study shared 39th - 47th places with 5 points for the Armenian team. In 2013, he had problems with his health.
Unfortunately, doctors were powerless before a rapidly progressing disease ...
He was Fide Master of the FIDE for chess composition since 2008.
