FIDE International Master, composer and author born in Trieste who in his private life was dedicated to teaching,

and whose chess work in all fields he covered over the years has been brilliant and indefatigable.

For this dedication to receive the title of "Knight to the Merit of the Republic"

Paoli's work is close to 170 studies. Italian champion in 1951, 1957 and in 1968.

As author he has made a work of great didactic importance, Two books on the tournaments of Venice in 1953

and 1957 "Strategia e tattica" sulla Sscacchistici "(Milan, 1953);

"54 studi Scacchistici" (1947-1957); Lárte Della combinazioni scacchistica "(Milan, 1976);

Giocare bene per giocaremeglio, Lezioni di practica Scacchistica (Milan, 1979)

and "96 Studi Scacchisici" (Regio Emilia, 1983).
