Outstanding chess teacher born in Kristianstad, southern Sweden by profession economist

and lawyer who settled in Stockholm and there worked as Secretary of the City Administration Council.
He began to compose in the year 1920 and his production comprises about 150 problems and about 48 studies.

Dr. Clausen adopted the pseudonym of "Ekonom" when he published some articles on composition chess.
