(Czechoslovakia, 22.3.1911 - 3.12.1998)

Born in Mnichov Hradiště.

He worked first after graduation at CS Airlines.

Then joined the post office in Liberec, where he lasted ten years until 1951.

Finally anchored in Pardubice as chemist CHZ Semtín.

In the army achieved quite high rank of captain in backup.

He learned chess at ten years and was a leading player of Lokomotiva Pardubice and participated in many regional championships.

He qualifiesd for the title candidate master in composition chess.

In 1960 he became international referee for the FIDE.

He was also a succesful correspondence chess player.
